I believe that you will be more than happy with the England squad named by Capello yesterday.

They will have absolutely no chance. They will be struggling to get through the group stages I reckon.

Spain for me.

PS I'm sick fed up already about Engerlund this and Engerlub that, and its worse with Beckers and Rooneys injuries news updates also thug Terry's sores Wink AND now Idol Beckers handing over Engerpunks application for the 2018 World Cup.

Apols to our English Rovers fans including my wife but really its way over the media top.

This is the first world cup that i've been down in England for, and i tell you what, there isnt as much hype down here as there seems to be back in scotland about england. its slightly bearable here.
I've got my ABE t-shirt though to mix things up, and throwing an American Themed BBQ on the day the play the US. Wonder how big my turn out will be....

A bunch of children could qualify through the group England have. Scotland would maybe even finish 2nd.

I find the whole ABE thing pretty cringeworthy. Not that I'll be supporting the, mind.

You have obviously not been in Lancashire then. More specifically Blackpool. It is like a Wemburley match day there. Nothing but George Crosses and England tops. Mad

Obviously not seen the adverts for Curries (I shouldn't imagine they'll go bankrupt giving away tenners especially if Rooney is injured) or KitKat etc.

Where's Australia on the list? C'mon the Socceroos.

Favs have got to be Spain and Argentina for the flair players, Italy for their cynicism (I'm being polite - just don't fall on your ass before a forward!), Germany as they're reasonably good and getting better and are the architypically organised side who often show the sum is better than the parts and of course Brasil, just because they're Brasil.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned an African team yet. No African team has ever won it and it's about time, I will be backing Ghana all the way.

I'm one of the first to support any other team than england, but wouldn't we be exactly the same if we were in the finals of the world cup. We'd be going overboard as well.

Recent results suggest itl be a southern hemisphere team that will win due to climates etc etc.

Spain 1982 - Italy

Mexico 1986 - Argentina

Italy 1990 - Germany

USA 1994 - Brazil

France 1998 - France

South Korea 2002 - Brazil

Germany 2006 - Italy

By these results i think Argentina will win. Yes they have had a bad qualifying experience however Brazil had the same experience in 2002 qualifying in 5th and look how good that team was in Korea.

Will a european team break the trend if so its more than likely going to be Spain.

We would have a reason for going overboard about qualifying for any major tournament whereas england are regular qualifiers.

Really? I've not really noticed any hype yet, although I don't read the tabloids so maybe thats why.
