I've been taking the wee boy to games but the last one I was at was Hearts away on 8th November. A combination of other commitments and being scunnered has stopped me paying my money at the gate. The day of the Livi game Grandad had taken my boy to Starks cos I was busy in Dunfermline. I finished early and was driving back along the dual carriageway intending to make at least the second half of the game. I was listening to the radio and heard the penalty go in. I had to drop someone off in Lochgelly and as I was pulling away from their house I heard the second go in. I got home and took a look at the filthy weather that day and the scoreline and thought "*bleep* it". Unfortunately my instincts were proved correct.
I would happily participate in a protest against the boards decision making in regard to the managerial appointment. Am I willing to pay £17 for the privilege, maybe not. I think empty seats send a more direct message. We are a small enough club to still stay in close contact with our local newspaper. Pick a single game. A bit of publicity on here and in the local press to get the boards attention and then follow it through. That might get the job done. |
