Prince causing problems again, lays off and Joseph puts the visitors ahead.
Annan 1-2 Albion Rovers |
Game finishes Annan 1-2 Albion Rovers, I don't think we have anything to worry about next Saturday. _________________ Hope he's got plenty Rovers action to comment on tonight.... |

Big ask, but if they prepare for Killie like a cup-final, then the Annan game could well take care of itself. |

Probably looking for St Johnstone to beat Stirling and St Mirren to hammer Forfar on Saturday. _________________ Dougie Hill

St Mirren v Forfar isn't too relevant, they can't BOTH finish better than us if we beat Annan. Here's how I see it (as posted on Killie match thread...)
Three best second placed teams go through. It's shaping up that second in groups C (Hamilton or Livi) and D (likely Morton) will grab two of these. A solid win at Annan on Saturday should see us move into third best 2nd place, as long as St Johnstone don't lose in 90mins at home to Stirling.
So we qualify? Not quite. The following day, Dundee play Inverness, and will know by then exactly what's needed of them. And if Saturday pans out as above, then what they'll need, simply put, is to do better than we do against Annan. In other words, with the unfair advantage of knowing what their target score is....hmmmmm! |

How that game finished 1-0 I’ll never know, last half hour was end to end, neither team defending and just going for it! Hellish watch |

Fantastic ending to a cliff-hanger! Even in the last 15 seconds, I thought Dundee would somehow clinch it. We always think that the grass on the other side is greener. Sometimes we just forget the times when
it's not.
If I had a fiver for every time Mark Ridgers made me shake my head, but he is a Rovers hero today! For once the missed chances are not on us! We ARE there on merit too though. We were unbeaten in free-play in the contest and we scored three more golas than Dundee, albeit flush on points and goal-difference.
Hibs away is a pretty good shout, decent pay-day and on the showing of Hibs' (non) form in the Europa Conference, no gauranteed exit for us either. "Never write of Raith Rovers", as the pundits keep saying!
That's oor job! |

Beano's goal courtesy of Greg Spence.
Massive shout for Albion penalty in last minute of regular time. Geordie Munro's "brother" ... (David)... not interested. He'd have to have made a big decision. Can't possibly have that with Scottish referees!😡
Big penalty shout!
Stirling Albion 1-2 Aberdeen
Deary me, it's all happening. Stirling get a corner and there's a massive shout for a penalty after the ball comes in, as Ross Davidson is wiped out as he fires over the bar from close range.
David Munro isn't interested, but Shayden Morris might feel a touch lucky. That gave the referee a decision to make. _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

One of these refs who only gives penalties to big teams, as we saw first hand last Saturday 😉 _________________ Dougie Hill
