To get back off topic, - I wonder if we'll still see a bounce game before the Pars. All of our pre-seasons have been against lower-league opposition. The Pars at home Killie and Annan away in the League cup and Partick away in the league are all going to be much tougher games, with more at stake. A bounce game against a Premiership side (or two) would be much stiffer tests. |
Jack got about 55’ as Trialist A. Looked a bit off game speed, but clearly showed a defensive prowess that we’ve lacked on set pieces.
Masson got clobbered but remained playing and seemed none the worse for wear…but I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s a bit limited in the next practice.
Gullan looking sharper, and Vaughan looks much more elusive. Mitchell got a little time and is fast as a thief, no sign of Paterson. McGill did a solid turn at RB.
To be honest, I don’t think we’re going to see another CB in for a little bit. We might see a LB, allowing Dick to cover, but I think that Masson and Corr together have shown IM enough that he may wait for the possible loans if his preferred CB moves have fallen through.
RB is fine with Millen covered by Masson, McGill or Brown.
LB is a weak spot, with only McGill and Connolly as possible cover
CB is short, especially if Dick is playing LB, with Watson, Masson, Corr and (perhaps) Dick as possible and cover from Brown
Note that using Brown or Connolly as cover sucks as a choice, but is doable. McGill is already looking like an outstanding value, if only for his flexibility. |

“As a footballing spectacle that was honking. Pedestrian walking football at times. Cant really tell much about anything from that given the line up hopefully is nowhere near our best starting 11.”
Only to be expected from a training/bounce game. They never give a real clue as to what a season will bring. Only for trying things out and improving match fitness. Entry should be free for everyone who would choose to attend. |

Ask Elon, it’s his bull**** that’s broken countless web systems for reposting tweets, |

Could swear there's a bit of a wind up with the scoreline on the club site! Or is it my eye sight? |

Thought the usual updates are done by text?
Don’t have twitter either and no plans to change that!
Anyone else notice that three or four of our goals this pre season have been absolute crackers… goal of the season contenders if in competitive games’! |

It seems the updates were somehow linked to tweets, based upon the comments from Raith TV. Maybe I'm understanding that wrong, but they seemed to say the changes at Twiitter had broken the updates application. |

As an aside on yesterday's match, one 'incident' not yet mentioned......
I know from his interview at time of signing that Keith Watson 'loves nothing more than keeping the ball out of the net'. Thjat's a great defensive target and quality - but I hope he's not going to make a habit of keeping to that mantra at the other end of the park. What a miss from Josh Mullen's free kick! |
