Seems like we have a "switch on and switch off" issue. Early goal at the start and late goal at half time................ _________________ Keeping the Faith (and the Missionary work!) |

Hit the woodwork, penalty claim turned down, supposedly’weaker’ bench, missing a few regulars, away to one the supposed favourites for promotion….despite the manner of the lost goals I believe, it was a decent result and the never give in attitude is also a big positive!
The feel good factor is still there albeit with a hint of realism attached!

Clueless, disjointed headless chicken stuff for 86 minutes. As soon as Ethan Ross came on we looked much better and played with a bit width and drive. Possibly the worst game I’ve seen Easton and possibly Vaughan play.
It’s not that I don’t like 4-3-2-1 it’s just that I don’t think the players have a clue with it.
Unreal from Ross and Mitchell’s finish was superb.
Doolan must be regretting taking off Lawless and Graham and they were running the show until then. _________________ RIP RONNIE |

Ah! The voice of reason.🤔
Nonetheless you'd like to think the result should be a big morale booster going forward.🤞 _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

Maybe Easton did have a not so good game I dont know, but it was his goal that started the progress.
I may get slated for this but is Vaughan holding the team back |

Well done The Rovers!
A good fightback away against a team most reckon will be top four.
Pleased for Kieran Mitchell getting his first goal.
Loads to improve on but could be a valuable point come the end of the season. |

After the disappointment of the weakness on the bench it was two super subs who earned us a point. Genius by Murray? |

Utterly dreadful for 80 minutes per CoachBombay above. I was on the cusp of leaving with five to go. Thank God Easton pulled one back as I was getting out my seat. Still presumed it was a consolation but things swung massively in our favour after that. Terrific equaliser and credit to Ethan Ross for setting it up on a plate after great work down the left flank.
I hope Murray gets this injury situation sorted and pronto because having Matthews, Brown, Corr, Connoly, Millen and Gullan in the stand for the opening match away to one off the promotion favourites is just ridiculous. We will never be competing at the top end of this league with half a team sitting injured, a makeshift back line, no midfield and very little on the bench.
I'd have taken a point going down the road but boy that was lucky. |

Interesting, Easton was stinking and was neck and neck with Vaughan for the hook. Mullin was poor too!
Ross was a revelation from the bench.
My shout after an hour was hooking McGill and Easton and going to 3 at the back and pushing on. IM went part way and it worked.
MotM for me was Liam Dick, Hamilton did a power of a shift too!!
If I have any concerns it's over Watson who is so, so slow and our young goalkeepers kicking (that needs lots of working on). _________________ Competitive goals: Vaughan 19, Easton 11, Hamilton 10, Smith 9, Stanton 7, Mullin 4, Connolly 3, O'Reilly 3, Rudden 3, S Brown 2, Dick 1, Gullan 1, Masson 1, Matthews 1, Millen 1, Mitchell 1, Murray, Watson 1, OG's 1, |

Delighted for Mitchell getting his first goal, but even more so for Ethan Ross after his injury issues. Hope he gets an even break this season as a fit and firing Ethan Ross can be close to unplayable at this level. _________________ Dougie Hill

Our first goal was an own goal. Easton’s attempt was not on target till the Patrick player headed it into his own net. |

Perhaps it was, perhaps it was not…it took an almost immediate deflection wide from the Partick defender that put it onto the head of the second Partick defender who drove it home. Since the initial flight was so short, it was very difficult to tell…the deflection is most clear on the last replay, from behind the net. |

No Raith player could have directed that header better than the Thistle defender ! The camera from behind the goal makes that very clear. Sorry, Dylan, but it's an OG.
Kieran Mitchell explains in his interview how he held back when he saw everyone else rushing goalwards before he scored. That game intelligence will garner him quite a few goals if he keeps his head as he did yesterday. Also had the sense to shoot with his weaker left foot rather than try to adjust his body and end up with his shot blocked. Keep practising shooting with either foot, Kieran, it will pay dividends! |

Definite own goal Tex no perhaps needed.
A truly great result from where we were with seven minutes to go. Ethan Ross coming on made a huge change to our attack and in the end made the difference between a 2-0 defeat and a 2-2 draw.
A result I might have taken before a ball was kicked to be fair! |
