1st half an absolute snore fest. Thankfully we upped the game second half and ran out comfortable winners with three good goals.
I understand the sentiment of the Rovers "director" awarding Masson the MOM. He had a fine game and capped it off with a good goal. Delighted for the lad.
But Dylan Easton was just magnificent and second half was simply head and shoulders above anything Cliftonville had to offer.
For a change watched from the main stand. Awful seating, awful view and not somewhere to hurry back and watch a game at SP.
Real business next Saturday. Bring it on. |

Pretty much agree with you NR regarding young Masson who had a really good game. Iโm also delighted for him. He will remember his goal for a long time! I also thought Dylan Easton was magnificent today, heโs brilliant to watch on the ball and is a real nightmare for defenders. Some of the wing play was outstanding.
Thought Byrne had a great game too. The midfield partnership between him and Scott Brown is developing very nicely and is providing a solid backing to our exciting forward play.
Long May it continue. COYR. |

I thought Cliftonville were like an underdog boxer - came out the traps all guns blazing, but were never realistically going to sustain it for ninety minutes.
From a Rovers point of view, it was a case of letting them throw their punches, but make sure none landed, which was pretty much the case, before picking them off in the second half as they tired physically and mentally.
There appeared to be some Celtic sympathisers in the away end today, but the few Cliftonville fans who were in the 200 club after the game were sound and waxed lyrical about Dylan Easton in the second half.
Like the posters above, I can see why Masson wss given Man of the Match, but Easton was head and shoulders above in the second half. _________________ Dougie Hill
