Thanks SB and Vinnie. I feared as much . Not much financial reward for beating the Pars
Do we need to beat them to have a chance of new recruits e.g. Ashcroft. Was IM hinting at that? |

Looking forward to the game now that the temperature is starting to creep up. Be trying to think when was the last time I was at Livi to watch us play and I'm maybe forgetting a more recent one but I'm thinking it's when we beat them 4-0 twenty plus years ago and Marvin Andrews scored. A month later we punted our three best players, including Andrews, to Livi for a pittance just to keep the lights on.
Not sure what our best set up should be for this one. I think Connolly is one of our best and creative attackers but Mullen probably gives us better defensive cover. Same applies on the other side with Easton and Smith.
Vaughan was off his game last week but he's out most potent threat in the box and Hamilton will be eager to prove a point against the club that deemed him not good enough. Plenty of options for Murray to ponder and Millen being back should help us defensively but that is still the area of biggest concern. _________________ Fantalk~Often wrong but never in doubt |

A few things stick in my throat about Livi including selling Andrews, Tosh and Burns for £30K, losing 6-0 to them (Meadowbank) after beating Stenny 9-2 the week before and how they have went into administration twice yet are still in the top division!
Let’s stuff them in the cup. _________________ Two pints prick |

A couple of weeks ago i was full of confidence regarding this match. However, our recent results and more importantly our performances have been well short of what is required to cause an upset.
I predict we will probably create a few good chances, but continue to cave in under pressure and make the usual basic errors. We look ok in possession, but are absolutely awful out of it.
2-1 Livi. |

Not a recognised CD in the starting lineup but Corr and Murray on the bench?? I do worry about this against the big livingston forwards.
Easton benched, think that was coming. |

Ah well! Disappointing result. Another year, another poor financial return from the Cup, over and above the excitement of progressing to the next round.
Get the feeling that next week is an absolute must win v ICT to get the wheels on and turning again. _________________ Talk on! Talk on!
