Can we get over this bigger than expected bump in the road ??, or will our shakey defending condemn us to another "unlucky" defeat, I'd bite your hand off for a draw in this one even if it's just to steady the ship.
Who knows, we might even have a defender signed before kick off that'll relaunch our challenge 🤞🤞 |

Heart says 2-1, head says 1-1…
Heart says we’ll get a CB in, head says not yet.
The problem I see is that Watson and Murray would be considered starters by most teams looking to loan a decent CB for playing time…so we may not be a top choice for them, as they don’t see their loanee getting a lot of time. Now, as Rovers fans, we know better… |

Inverness will want - and expect - more than a draw from this. Will we?
It's obvious to anyone that our defence is weak. All sides need to do at the moment is plan their victories against us by pressing the weak spots in that defence.
So - Stanton and Watson likely out until February and Dan is gone. Still time to get in new players, but I cannot see us winning on Saturday without them being in place by then. If we cannot consolidate the top spot, could we at least try to consolidate the second, before we are looking at three play-off ties? In current form, we might not even be in the play-offs at all. |

Source for Watson, if you can...I haven't heard anything other than he's almost ready (week after week)

Unless we suddenly tighten up at the back which we have failed to do all season, this will be another defeat. When we were free scoring it masked our inability to not concede. If EM & KW are struggling with injury and Matthews for that matter, both a CD and CM need to be signed.
We can't afford a second half season collapse this time around considering all the good things that are happening off the park. It's unthinkable. |

Thought...half the Championship is looking for CB's...maybe we'll bring in a LB and move Dick to CB...just saying, it's the kind of lateral thinking we've seen before. |

I agree with all of the above in regard to defence. I also understand we cannot simply magic a DECENT central defender out of thin air. I also get the fact we are not the only team looking for a centre back, and Tex makes a very good point regarding Watson and Murray being our first choice and players less willing to come if they do not think they will get Game Time. (On that point we must wonder how young Corr feels leaving Celtic B to get Game time at an up and coming club on the advice of his Father, then spends his "fit" time at the club sitting on the Bench? I guess more to the point, how does poor old Dad feel?) However, we must somehow stop leaking goals!.
This Game against Inverness on Saturday will be one of the most important Games we have played this season and could well be a turning point back to good fortune. We are all looking for an improvement to our recent slump in form, and I'm afraid another poor result at this time may have a huge affect on confidence and morale with a possible sense of panic setting in. Indeed, I felt we may have witnessed early signs of this last Saturday with chances missed from Smith, Vaughan, and Connolly. Trying too hard, or just one of those things? I do hope it turns out to be the latter.
Beating Inverness will be no walk in the park. They seem to have perked up overall since Drunken Duncan's arrival and have recently looked sharp. Are Watson and Murray fit enough for a return? If so GREAT. If only one of them can make it, then my hope will be IM removes Brown from the defence back to mid field where he is far more effective, and slots Corr in to partner Watson or Murray, whoever can make it.
COYR We are all behind you in this important game. (No pressure then?) |

I don't post on the other channel, but the comments their fans made about us were off the scale - like we were embarrassing non-league opposition. Then they dragged up he whose name cannot be mentioned. Dundee United fans never reffered to our club like that and a lot of them congratulated our determination. Even Pars fans were / are a lot more respectful - as are we to most other clubs, I guess - I hope.
Off course it may just have been an ellaborate p!55 take - a clique of drinking mates collaborating to wind up Rovers fans.
Either way, IM should look up those posts and show them to our players before the game on Saturday - get them all fired up!
Btw - we were top of the league at that time - they were bottom. Let's work towards restoring that status! I always say - Rovers are poor when expected to win, but they surprise you when it is not looking too good! (At least) 3/4 wins over them this season would do me! |

I actually thought Inverness looked pretty good when they went up against Dundee Utd a couple of weeks back. Understandably the team is now devoid of any defensive confidence, you could see that last week against Livi. A high scoring game which see us win would of course be highly entertaining but just to grind out a one nil with a solid defensive performance would be even better.
Weather has improved for the weekend so hopefully another healthy crowd to watch us at home for the last time on a Saturday till March 9th. _________________ Fantalk~Often wrong but never in doubt |

I'm possibly and most likely wrong but I'm sure I have read that every club only has two home games televised? _________________ Fantalk~Often wrong but never in doubt |
