Facing the club with the worst disciplinary record in the league by a distance in a game refereed by Colin Steven, we'd be well advised to rest any key players to ensure they stay free of injury and suspension for the playoffs.
I know that would be a kick in the Chuckies to the guys who have shelled out good money on tickets and travel, but needs must. _________________ Dougie Hill

That would be absolutely brilliant should it come to pass.π€
However, not so much lost interest but more of we are where we are and not much can be done to change it for now.
I agree that maybe we should all be more proactive since we can still theoretically end up only one point behind the title winners when the final league positions go into the record books next Friday evening by winning the last two games. I still hold out hope for the Harry Wraggs upsetting the home celebrations at Tannadice next Friday.π€π

I take your point about wanting the points difference to look close, but to be honest, I'd rather United thrash Thistle on Friday so they're heading into the playoffs on a downer.
Hopefully QP get the win they need to stay up against Airdrie on Friday as well so The Diamonds are heading into the playoffs on a three game winless run. _________________ Dougie Hill

Not one comment on todayβs actual match. Fantalk is quieter than the south stand during match days _________________ Two pints prick |

Let's be honest, nothing much happened to comment upon.
Usual couple of fine saves by Dabrowski, combined with poor kicking and flapping at crosses. Usual defensive solidity (Dick the best today, I reckoned). Not much doing up front with several kety players rested.
And personally much preferred being on the benches behind the goals second half, rather than the stanchion-dodging view in the cramped main stand seats in the first half π |

Only have the highlights to go by but Dabroski looked a shambles with any ball into the area and was extremely lucky not to be punished. |

With regards to shot stopping he is 2nd to none. However balls into his box, be it corners, crosses or free kicks, he is a calamity. This will hold him back from being a really top keeper.
Inverness last week and Morton yesterday were pumping balls on top of him. This will continue in respect of the remaining games we have. |

How long did it take you to become well versed and top level in your job? My job had 3-5 years of training, doing the actual job (with someone watching most of the time), before you were signed off to do it alone. Big Kev now has 44 starts for us under his belt, which is nearly half his 95 senior level starts, and his first string of over 10 starts in a row. Jamie MacDonald had ONE short series of starts before HE we 25, and then sat for another 4 years before getting his break, and he then started playing consistently at age 27. You can bet he was still learning, to suggest we have any idea right now of Big Kevβs potential is silly talk. |

I'm not saying he won't improve I'm just stating what I believe is a obvious weakness as this point in his development.
If he had everything at this point he would be Hibs number one. |

Apologies if I read too much into this quote: "This will hold him back from being a really top keeper."
As long as that's a current observation, but allows for development, OK. But to me it read as a suggestion Kev will not reach the upper levels. |
