A number of their players walked last week, Danny Handling being one of them. Don't know if our young keeper is still there. Likely he is due to us paying most if not all of his wage |

Did we not recall him some weeks back? Or did I imagine that? |

I've just looked at their lineup from their last game and McNeil was their keeper. |

McNeil was recalled when Thomson was injured, and returned to the loan after that. He’s getting time starting there, so it’s still valuable…perhaps more so as he’s likely getting shelled now with the more experienced players having left. |

We did, but I'm sure he was loaned out again once Robbie Thomson was fit. _________________ Dougie Hill

Edinburgh City
CINCH LEAGUE ONE
SPFL STATEMENT: EDINBURGH CITY
DISCIPLINARY TRIBUNAL OUTCOME...
Edinburgh City FC has received a six-point deduction following an SPFL Disciplinary Tribunal into SPFL Rule breaches, which were admitted by the club.
The breaches relate to the cinch League 1 club having failed to pay its players’ wages on time, and in full, on 30 November 2023. This failure to pay was also not notified to the SPFL as required by SPFL Rules and Regulations.
The club also admitted it had breached the rules by failing to advise the SPFL that it had been in default of its tax obligations to HMRC, as required by SPFL Rules and Regulations.
Furthermore, the club did not engage fully in the disciplinary process leading to further breaches of SPFL Rules.
Edinburgh City’s points tally for season 2023/24 will be adjusted immediately.
An SPFL spokesperson commented: “The payment of players’ wages, and the tax default and reporting rules, are integral parts of maintaining a fair league competition.” |

Daily Record Tweeting that City may get kicked out of the league forces the club to make a statement.

So they are engaging with the SFA to achieve the bronze licence but Buckie were kicked out for not having one. Why couldn’t Buckie “engage to achieve”? _________________ Two pints prick |

If they applied for a waiver on/before March 31, 2024...just saying. |

Buckie Thistle Manager resigned.
Can't blame him really. Imagine taking your team through an entire season, winning the league on a one point goal difference, then being told by your board you cannot go any farther because of something they either did or did not do!
I do not think the unbending suits in Hampden come out of this looking shining bright either. |
