with Airdrie's outstanding run continuing with another point yesterday, they are now only 1 point behind Ayr with 2 games to go, with Morton a further 3 points ahead of Ayr
8 Morton 34 10 4 20 -25 34
9 Ayr 34 7 10 17 -29 31
10 Airdrie United 34 7 9 18 -15 30
Obviously, we play them on Monday night, but i reckon Airdrie could actually beat us... (we are bound to be dead on our feet, and possibly distracted by the fact we've secured our place)
does anyone agree that they could at least avoid the automatic drop? Add in of course the fact that Morton play Ayr next saturday. If Morton dont win midweek, then they will effectively be playing to avoid the playoffs themselves, so that kinda plays in to Airdrie's hands as well! Thirdly, Airdrie's goal dif is much better than Ayrs..... so even if Airdrie only take a point from us, they get themselves of the bottom for the first time this year! An amazing turn around.... showing form like we did the first 2 months!
Can Airdrie do it?

I think Ayr will finish bottom now. Can't really see past Airdrie beating us on Monday and I think they can take something off the Pars as well. They may even manage 8th with Morton and Ayr playing each other next Saturday. _________________ If I were a fighter I'd probably kick your ass. |

Personally I've never liked Airdrie so would have them drop down but I think they will edge it over Ayr and be in the playoffs |

Pretty glad Ayr are down I hate them so the play-offs have now been confirmed, first legs on Wednesday and second legs next Saturday, Brechin City v Airdrie United & Cowdenbeath v Alloa Athletic. |

Och, Ayr is a great place if you wanna stand without security/polis breathing down your neck. I for one am sad to see them go down. Just hope Airdrie go down too and that Cowden come up. _________________ A proud member of the 45. Saor Alba. |

So you like to go to boring ugly stadiums like New Broomfield or Cappielow? They are the very definition of middens. Fair enough, as long as you like stewards yelling at you to sit doon. _________________ A proud member of the 45. Saor Alba. |
