Truly brass today. I don't know how anyone could have enjoyed that. I think we should bring in Summer football. Do you? |

Without a shadow of a doubt. Don't know how anyone can expect stayaway fans to head along if the weather is like that. |

No question whatsoever. Should be included in the league reconstruction. |

When we can get adverse weather at any point between Late October and March, I dont see how its practical. You would even end up with games being called off due to torrential rain in Summer the way things are going.
We get this every year when we have to sit through a freezing cold day at the fitba, but ive yet to see a practical proposal of how it will work. |

With the Euro's and World Cup coming in the close season how do you think we'll be able to fit in Summer football? From my perpective I'd want to use that time of the year to go on holiday, and the tennis and golf is a big distraction for me as well. |

Living in Australia we play in the summer, a few weeks ago we had a day in Adelaide that was +35 at kick off. The ref stops for a water break after 20 mins then again after 40min for water break, the same again in the second half. It id much better watching the game with shorts on and a beer.
It makes the game better to watch as the ball does most of the work and passing is a must as you cant run about like a headless chicken in that heat.
Most of the games are played in temps about +25. Most of the players will be paid more than all SPL sides other than Celtic. They also have a wage cap per team with each club only allowed a few special players that they can pay more. Sydney have Del P who turned down Celtic to play here.
Summer football = better football, in my opinion.
Who would take a small child to watch football in Scotland in Winter? it would put them off going back.
Do or die, RIP Scottish Football. |
