Ex Rover John Martin gets the third goal.

Well done the Shippy.

Wonder at some point in the future when football stattos look at the previous winners of the Fife Cup and see the Shippy have won the cup in 2017/18 while three of the four professional outfits in Fife were nowhere? Laughing

Is that the first time they've won the Fife Cup?

Yes, they join Lassodie, 1887/88 and Alloa Athletic, 1885/86 as one time winners.

Was there an open top bus tour of the Kirkton or, even greater, one of the High Street?
Maybe it's still in the planning. Wink
Speaking of Lassodie Utd, I remember back in the 60's seeing its name on the cup and years later seeing the cup again in our boardroom and Lassodie had, with the polishing, been rubbed out ! Very much like the village itself.
Useless facts for pub quiz coming up... a young Sean Connery used to come over from Edinburgh to visit his granny and grandad in Lassodie and he went to football games at East End with his grandad. Connery's mum was born in Dysart.

Pardon my ignorance, but where is Lassodie? Their cup win was a bit before my time and I can't recall ever hearing of the place before?

Google maps suggest it is/was north of Loch Fitty.

Essentially the location of what was the open cast mining site on the left of the M90 just before the Kelty turn off.
