Trialist A - Brody Patterson, at LB
Trialist B - Jake Nicholson, from the Community Team, 16 or 17, wide mid, either foot, earned an opportunity. |

1-4, Gullan penalty saved, Gullan scores the rebound. PK for a trip on Easton, cutting in from the left. |

That was a very good work out, nice passages of play with penalty apart some really good finishes, and the quality of the stream was superb
Just hope McGill is ok and it's not too bad a strain |

He was immediately pulled, so that was good.
Impressions:
Corner was poor marking, on first viewing...will need replay to determine.
Masson looks confident and composed, saw one error, but otherwise looked positionally fine.
McGill is competent LB cover...possibly RB too. That being said, we want him forward.
Brody Patterson looked quite good the first half at LB, and pulled the cross back nicely to Mullin for the goal.
Mullin looks in excellent form...Smith a little behind, but linked well...Easton is very sharp, he and Stanton were spot on with a number of passes.
Matthews took it easy, happily lying deep, which let Stanton move forward.
Watson wasted no time in making it clear to Dick, Masson and Millen who was organizing this boat when he was slipped on at the end.
Dick seems fine at CB, and easily slipped back to LB as well. |

We enjoyed watching the game. Certainly a good workout and everyone brought something to the table.
Goals were good. That said, the penalty was saved as it was neither here nor there but Gullan got away with it by getting to the loose ball first.
The people in the know about these things mentioned prior to the euros that penalty takers should wait for at least 5 to 10 seconds after the Ref blows for the kick to be taken so that the taker can ready themselves mentally before they strike.......Gullan waited for only a couple of seconds.
Gonna be interesting watching this team methinks. It would appear that the squad are gelling and the new boys showed well today.
Their goal from the corner was poor from our point of view. It looked like their runners got a head start and our defenders reacted to them rather than watching and attacking the ball itself. Ie....being reactive as opposed to proactive. Attack the ball, not the player.
That aside, good first showing. _________________ Born a Rover Live a Rover Die a Rover |

It was not, it was Brody Patterson. They suggested that, and after getting a good look, Brody was confirmed. |
