So… If it comes down to Dundee needing to outperform us in the final round of fixtures… how much do we need to win by? How should we go about things? Gung-ho all out attack?
Early season form suggests our fixture (despite being on the road) is more favourable than Dundee’s home tie v ICT however they have the advantage of playing a day later and knowing their ‘target’..
Our penalty shootout win has made this weekend very interesting! |

The main target is to win. That would give us a chance as the pressure is then on Dundee ( if, indeed, they turn out to be the only team who can stop us!)
Next, on paper , everyone would agree that we'd rather play Annan than ICT 😂.
Sounds like it will be an unchanged starting eleven, assuming everyone, including
The Hammer , is fit.
Unfortunately, we don't take most of our chances at the moment, so we are not home and hosed yet.
A bit uncertain who can come off the bench to assist us, apart from Jack Hamilton ( or maybe Euan Murray from a set piece). IM named all our injured players, then said Scott
and " Ross" might make it onto the pitch. The Ross Is Ross Millen, not Ross Matthews?
( discounting Ethan Ross). |

No disrespect to Annan, but they have seen far better form than they have in this competition and nothing to play for against us anyway. I would gamble with an all-out-attack. If that doesn't work, it's unlikely anything else would. A slender win would just throw the gauntlet down to Dundee to out-score us. On the other hand, if we were to score enough, Dundee's "required score-line" could make them a wee bit jittery! |

No reason to think that Dundee can choose the number of goals they can beat ICT by.
They may struggle to win at all.
With us, if we turn up, it should be a question of taking our chances.
I'm still to be convinced that it's a straight run off between us and Dundee. There are a number of other permutations whereby we can qualify , if we do ourselves justice against Annan. |

All we can realistically do today, is make sure we are still in with a shout come Tomorrow!
If I may add:
Typical of Today's modern values where TV dictates (and spoils) when competition games are played. Will Dundee knowing what they have to do prior to their game help them in any way? I guess it's arguable both ways.
Point being, if the competitive games were to finish at the same time there would be no need for the argument at all.
It's worse for the Pars. The rest of us have known what we've needed to do since Tuesday!
DEFINITELY time for a rethink of how this competition works, AND, when it is played.
P.S. Sorry SB, I can't answer the Poll question. There are too many outside influences as to whether we will still be in the competition. However I most certainly think we will win this afternoon |

All the teams that are looking for a good solid result in the battle for section winners or best three runners up seem to be doing the business except one in particular. Guess which one 😟 _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

Stirling through on ten points. Morton +7, Accies and ourselves on +3. Dundee need to get beat or a draw might suffice. even if they win on penalties.
It needs greater minds than mine to do the joined up sums 😟 _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

Cove win on pens so hamilton the same as us, 9 points with +3. Is it goals scored next? |

How was that so tight? When was the last time Rovers had Shots/Shots on Target 22/9? _________________ Keeping the Faith (and the Missionary work!) |

Never thought I'd see the day when I'd be wishing ICT well, after the agony they have put us through over the years.
More agony to come tomorrow? |
