Another strange idea from FIFA in my opinion. Adding on matches in South America to a World Cup in Spain, Portugal and Morocco. If the Tartan Army wants to travel to Madrid or Lisbon, it may have to go via Asuncion, Paraguay. Having said that, it is ironic that Gareth Southgate is complaining about the possibility of having to play Argentina in their own country. Think back to 2021 and how England played all but one of their matches at Wembley when everyone else was travelling all over Europe.
FIFA wanted to have a World Cup in 2026 with 48 teams in 16 groups of 3 but apparently was not aware that 3 is an odd number and not all teams in the group could play their last match simultaneously so they have had to re-plan. In addition, the 2022 World Cup had to be delayed when FIFA realized that it is hot in Qatar in June and July. It is fair to say that they have a track record for bad planning. |

No doubt they will 'plant enough trees' to offset their carbon emissions making it the most environmentally friendly world cup ever.
Biggest load of bollox and pure money grabbing by Infantino and his buddies.
We wont be there so likely I wont watch it _________________ http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/ |
