Does anyone else remember Bobby Charlton's near 40 yarder against us in a 4-0 win when he was player manager for Preston North End? This was the only time I saw him play. RIP Sir Bobby. |

Four or five years before my time, but I've heard and read from people there that it was the hardest shot they'd ever seen hit on Stark's Park (at least until Gullan's winner against Inverness five weeks ago).
Very sad news about Bobby Charlton.
There's maybe an argument as to whether English football has had a better player, but there's no argument that it's never had a better ambassador. _________________ Dougie Hill
