Just had a small online chat with his son Eric who tells me that it's six years tomorrow 28th since his dad passed away.
It's on Facebook under Lost football grounds and terraces where there's an old b&w photo of old Starks Park top end turnstiles.
Jimmy MacEwan was an absolute hero of mine when a wee boy . A gifted speedy winger who we signed from Arbroath and was transferred to Aston Villa in 1960/61? and spent the rest of his days in Birmingham. _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

There are not many who you can call legends over the years but guys like McEwan are held in high esteem. He can be quoted alongside Baxter, Porterfield, Young, McNaught and Leigh. All before my time but well revered in Rovers history _________________ Two pints prick |
