Imagine comparing Nick Kershaw and the Weather Girls with the Beatles Hendrix and the Stones.

Near a tree by a river there a hole in the ground, Quinnys taste in music should be buried in it!

I think the answers are reflected by the age of the respondents generally. But I am with T am, Zico and co. The late fifties, sixties and early seventies were streets ahead of what has followed. Although there have been some fantastic performers and songs since then, the sixties were the best decade by far! _________________ He's no' hairy mary he's the Rovers' little fairy!

Got to agree with you there Pinky and it was not just the well known bands that were good the bands that did the Fife cicuit of small venues were also a joy to go and see. You had the rugby, ski hops the tuffty club in T-Hall, the YMCA, to name but a few. Very happy days spent listening to some very good music and musicians. |

For me it has to be the 90s. Tchaikovsky composed his classic Nutcracker and the seminal Swanlake, Puccini was reaching his zenith and Debussy was churning out hit after hit. Yes the 1890s was a great decade for music. _________________ Fantalk~Often wrong but never in doubt |
