Recent email from the club:
* Club considering giving Utd the away Railway Stand section.
* Dundee Utd have sold 2322 tickets with about 500 left in the North Stand. Dundee Utd expecting to sell 3000 away tickets and if given the Railway Stand would bump their allocation to 3300. If they were to fill the Railway Stand as well it would generate an additional £8,500 for the club.
* Prior to suspending tickets sales in Railway Stand only 19 tickets had been bought for that section.
* Club can relocate punters from that stand to South or Main Stand.
* At the moment 533 home tickets have been sold in addition to our 1,895 season ticket holders.
* Club anticipating an additional 500 to 1000 home tickets being purchsed before Saturday bringing home crowd to about 3,300.
* Singing section folk in South Stand have said they plan to sit there for this game even if Railway Stand was an option. _________________ THERES FIVE OF ME |

The email requires a vote. Not much time to organise the switch ! Everyone voted for United to be allocated the Railway Stand? Makes financial sense. In the " old days" , I was in the Railway Stand, latterly almost opposite the centre line and it's the best view I've had at SP. So I feel a bit for those who chose to sit there this season ,not to sing, but for the view, but I expect they will put the interests of the Club first ,when looking over the figures.
Not worried if United bring big numbers. The more noise they make, the more we respond and it will be a cracking atmosphere and our players will thrive on it ! |

From part of the official site blurb about the game.
"Since then though, United have went without loss in 10 games, winning eight of them, the latest being a convincing 4-1 victory over Queen’s Park last Saturday."
Aaargh! What's happened to "gone"? Should also be "a loss" or "without losing".
As bad as all the so called professional media reporters not knowing the difference between "less" and "fewer" and when to use either word correctly.
Everything is "less this, less that", these days when in fact the majority of times it should be fewer!😠
Rant over, and, I feel all the better for it 🫣😄 _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

Aye Embow. I also noticed this. However any time I complain about the modern use of our language, I am told, "Language is a living and ever evolving thing".
I think back at the hours spent in study to get these things right. However I now think having taken my studies so far, I should of not bothered taking them any further.
Even a giant Company like Ford use the slogan, "Taking you further". Whatever happened to: far, farther, farthest?
Sorry guys. Embow and I have went way off subject.

You have nailed it Heilan Rover!
Language does indeed evolve but rarely accurately.
Just look at how the noun access has evolved into a verb! You get or gain or have access to something. You don't access something. Methinks we're too late, alas, with this one.🥺
Just dinnae even think about getting me started on "should of"!🫣😠
Getting the thread back on topic it would seem that the weather may well have a big influence on how the game pans out. Looking likely to be very wet and breezy. _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

There have been a few high scoring games over the years, the only one that comes close to your prediction was in the Scottish Cup in the 56/57 season when we won 7-0
Wind forward 6 years to what was possibly our worst season ever when the Arabs cuffed us 7-2 and 8-1. _________________ Hope he's got plenty Rovers action to comment on tonight....

Can’t see us scoring more than 3 or 4, so longs we win I’m not too bothered.
Shout out to the artificial surface too cause if the forecast is accurate then had this been a few years ago….pitch inspection followed by dreaded ‘Match OFF, Waterlogged pitch” |

If the forecast is accurate will the access to Kirkcaldy be hampered? I usually come from the bridge via B9157 and sometimes the water on the road has resulted in a closure. I will leave early and I think the best route might be through Burntisland.
The other forecast of 6-0 - yes I am down with that. Is that turn of phrase permitted by the northern grammar polis? _________________ Here Wee go again |

It's probably quicker to leave the M90 at the A92 and enter Kirkcaldy at the retail park.
