Highlights now up and what a wonderful worldie winner.
Some really great defending when required. Step up to the plate Ross Millen, Euan Murray, Scott Brown, Liam Dick and Kevin Dabrowski. _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

Thought at the time their keeper was maybe at fault for goal…
Highlights suggest maybe a wee bit too close to his near post but he was also unsighted slightly by his defenders and the ball passed him with a fair bit force so I’m happy enough to give Easton 100% credit!
We weren’t at out best so to turn over the unbeaten title favourites in their own backyard while keeping a clean sheet too shows what we already know, this squad is made of different stuff compared to years gone by.
Well done everyone, let’s enjoy that, enjoy the league table for a few days then get right back on it for Friday’s game… |

I believe that he's the head coach for Sevco's under 15/16's these days.

Fantastic result - against all the odds -(key players out, midweek game etc).
Well done everyone - players, manager, board!
I don't hear any whingeing about a single-goal victory this time! |

Just about deserved the win. United threw everything at us last 10-15 min but didn't really open us up and we defended brilliantly. That Millen tackle... oh my goodness ... what can you say.
I thought Sibbald and Moult should have red carded. Sibbald for several yellow card offences having already been booked and Moult for a deliberate elbow on Brown I think it was. Poor from Beaton in both cases IMO.
There was one piece of quality in the game to separate the sides. Superb goal from Easton.
Speaking of which Michael Stewart was on Sportscotland pimping Easton to Hearts in the window as a viable piece of business. |

Michael Stewart is a 24ct know all fud and should mind his own business. Yesterday was amazing and I haven't felt this good for thirty years. |

Easton’s goal reminds me of the one scored by Florian Wirtz of Bayer Leverkusen which won October’s goal of the month on German TV. |

Pundits raving about Dylan Easton, saying he is the best player in the Championship - and that he should be in the Premiership. If we go up and he stays, he would be! |

Easton’s goal would grace any competition on the planet.
Truly a real classy move and “ placement “ as you could wish to see.👏👏👏👏👏👏👏😁 _________________ Born a Rover Live a Rover Die a Rover |

It’s fair to say that Easton, and possibly Stanton too, have already been attracting the attention of wealthier clubs, with or without Michael Stewart’s encouragement. He’s just stating the obvious; a pre-requisite of the football pundit. Fair to say that our manager will also appear high up on any shortlist for the next vacancy in the Premiership (ugly sisters apart).
We need to hope for a quiet January window, or at worst a pre-contract or transfer/loan-back if the likes of Easton choose to take up the chance of trebling or more their wages for the same work. It’s a short career. But they might decide that being in this Rovers team suits them better, at least for now, even if it means passing up on a wage-rise in the short term. Fingers tightly crossed! |

I suppose it depends on why kind of people they are. The noises coming from the dressing room via the players and staff are that they all have a really strong bond both on and off the pitch and, currently, they have a chance of a league winners medal. If you are the sort of person who would value battling to the end with your friends and colleagues with such a carrot dangling in front of you, you would like to think they would stay where they are, go for it and become legends.
But I appreciate many of them are family men and the lifespan of a footballer can be a short one, needing only one incident to destroy your future so why not cash in when your stock is high?
I would suggest getting Murray and Mickey to commit their futures to the club for another couple of years is imperative and then, hopefully, the majority of the squad will follow suit. Without hat commitment from them, the players may rightly start casting their gaze elsewhere. _________________ http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/ |

Its early days yet, but if we're still top or 2nd at seasons end, I wouldn't like to see a similar situation as the last time we were in this position, when our snakey manager up n left for his boyhood club, I'd like to think any talks that are taking place come to a satisfactory conclusion, where we dont lose players or management for at least another couple of years, even if we dont get promotion this season |
