Advantage United again even if we beat them at the end of the month. |
Surely if we beat them at end of the month it is advantage to us? |
My mistake.
I omitted to say that "if they win v Caley Thistle next week" which should have been inserted after "Advantage United again".🫣 _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

Well the backline performed admirably and Ross Matthews was excellent as stand in right back (get him signed up before McGlynn ends up offering him a deal!) and their was no shortage of endeavours from everyone on the pitch. Vaughan and moreso Rudden failed really to trouble the Queens defence and Connelly and Easton didn't give us the width and pace down the wings that could have benefited us. They too often cut back into traffic though just before he came off Easton was starting to look dangerous.
To Murray's credit all the changes he did make did have an impact though I'd argue he made each of them at least five minutes later than he should have. The last ten minutes or so we did create several half chances and only an excellent save denied Stanton a winning goal. It was a poor first touch or a lackluster attempt a goal that saw us draw a blank today and there is no getting away from the fact that it's yet another chance missed to take a modicum of control in the title race. With Utd having the advantage of goal difference as the tie breaker we're going to have to better their result in at least one round of fixtures at some point before seasons end. Depending on what Utd do next weekend there's going to be a massive amount of pressure on us when we next play at Tannadice in a fortnight. _________________ Fantalk~Often wrong but never in doubt |

How so? We gained one point to come from four points behind them to draw level with them on points, which we were not last night.
Beeb at it again today: "Very hard for Raith to beat Dundee United to the title, as Dundee United have a massive budget!" I see - now I know why we did not score today! Still - a point and yet another clean sheet! |

Very good post match interview in my opinion with the gaffer who puts everything to date into perspective. _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

Fair summary Castle
Thought were good/decent till the final third of the pitch where I thought we lacked quality, creativity and imagination
Still,a point is better than none _________________ THERES FIVE OF ME |

Plenty to play for, since we played United in February we have the better form.

We've really shored things up and become difficult to breakdown defensively. That's 3 clean sheets on the bounce. Unfortunately we've lost a bit in the creative sense going forward as a result.
It felt a bit flat coming away today despite a point away to Queens being a decent result.
With no game next week, it kind of hands the initiative back to Utd depending on what they do against ICT.
Good interview from Murray but I cant help but feel we failed to capitalise on the gift from the Pars last night. |

Watching the highlights it wisnae for the want of trying that we didnae score. Just lacked a wee bit of calm and accuracy and a keeper on top of his game.
It happens. It's fitba'.☹️ _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

I mean, it isn’t the worst point in the world, frustrating not to win and their keeper made a couple of top class saves in that 2nd half.
Wasn’t there but seems like we performed pretty well, didn’t pick up any new injuries that I’m aware of so we just need to hope the same Utd that played last night show up again v ICT on Sat (and the rest of season if they wish!)
Unlike most of the games we have dropped points in, this one seems to have several positives so let’s build on it and believe |

Very decent performance from the team, only Easton was dissapointing, gave the ball away too many times, , thought mathews was outstanding AGAIN, turner and dick also played well |

Absolutely spot on Embow. When you see their Keeper's save from Stanton on the highlights from the back of the goal it is phenomenal, and from a shot that was definitely net bound. |
