struggling to see the big hype with Lewis. Yes he is young and battering i the goals, but I honestly believe he is at his level and won't be a stand out against bigger stronger more tactical players in higher leagues.
As I've said before I hope his goal streak continues for us, but for the right money I would let him go as no loyalty lie with players these days.
As for 6 figures, your kidding eh , the figure may have the number 6 in it but he certainly aint a 6 figure player, unless your a buyer reading this post in which case he is worth 6 million all day long |

anything less than 6 figures and its a sell out. in my book, with one year to go on his contract, the lad is worth at least 150k minimum. i agree with what yoy say but was it not barr who laid on all three goals last night, which enhances my point. hes a great asset but not irreplaceable. no team can afford to rely on just one player, and thats how it seems on here. to many fans relying on lv. |
6 figures for a league one player!! you are living up to your user name |
sarcasm rz. tell us all why not, he is a class player with huge potential. so again why not |
Not sarcasm, realism
a) we are a league 1 side now (and not the huns) therefore, immediately transfers fees are historically lower
b) we are Raith Rovers, again, historically, we don't have a good record of holding out for big money transfers.
I think we would be lucky to get £40k, paid up over 12-18 months and some kind of sell on clause _________________ http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/ |

I just dont agree with you RZ. LV is definately a cut above the rest and worth more than 40k. Personally i dont think he is ready for the big time yet but if he wants to try then the club has to hold out for as much as they can get. It would benefit the club if they extended his contract now which would make any purchase of him that much more valuable. But will they, i doubt it they claim to be business men but i dont think they are. 40k for LV is in my opinion a insult to him and raith rovers. _________________ now enjoying my fishing time, at peace with nature. but being a avid radio ham my global contacts have increased. any hams around call me lz2csk on 14200 or their aboyuts |

40k is not an insult. The size of club that would be interested in LV eg Dundee would only be able to afford a fee like that. That's why it's best to keep him. |

It's not as simple as the club just offering him an improved contract.
What happens if we don't get promoted? We will be going part-time and likely be in no position to honour his contract.
Plus, even if we did offer an improved deal, it would be completely against Vaughan's best interests to sign it. _________________ If I were a fighter I'd probably kick your ass. |

I heard that Vaughan going nowhere unless exceptionally silly money is offered.
Silly money on the big side that is.
Nobody has made an enquiry yet but if someone does the word is LV isn't for sale.....at any price.
Of course much of that may be rhetoric from the BoD. _________________ Competitive goals: Vaughan 18, Easton 11, Hamilton 10, Smith 9, Stanton 7, Mullin 4, Connolly 3, O'Reilly 3, Rudden 3, S Brown 1, Dick 1, Gullan 1, Masson 1, Millen 1, Mitchell 1, Murray, Watson 1, OG's 1, |

The Arabs have just been awarded an initial sum close to 800k for Andy Robertson's transfer to Liverpool. McKinnon knows Vaughan and has previous of recently paying for a Raith Rovers player.
If a half decent offer was to appear, I would expect it from orange side of Dundee.
Hope you are right though Scotty, sooner this window shuts the better |

We all need to stop discussing this. It just alerts the press as I've said before.
And then everything goes supersonic with clubs suddenly showing interest etc.
And yes! I'm being serious. _________________ Talk on! Talk on!
