Booing invariably eminates from the disappointment of not achieving expected outcomes or in a performance that doesn't match hoped for expectations. It is invariably delivered by those who think everything should be 100%+ in every game (or performance) and who make little allowance for poor team selection and tactics and tend to direct their frustrations at the players instead of the source of the problem, namely the manager (and any others) involved in poor team selection and tactics. _________________ Talk on! This.
Losing that game was down to the manager. |
Pretty much this.It was obvious earlyish doors that 3 at the back wasn,t working but IM was reluctant to change it or actually didn,t notice.By the time half time came and changes were made it was too late
Hugely disappointing and fear that all the hard work done by the club(and team)to get fans back into the stands will start to wane if we dont get back on track pretty quickly _________________ THERES FIVE OF ME |

An utter Shambles of a display.
Our two full backs were hugely disappointing but so were the rest. Big Kev's attempts at two of ICT goals were laughable.
The management have got nowhere near addressing the big problems we had over a month ago, centre halves, goal scoring forward, etc.
The two recent signings are poor. |

I dont know what Robbie Thomson and Dabrowski do at training but getting down to poorly hit shots and soft headers (last week) clearly doesn't form part of the drills. I didn't think he covered himself in glory at any of the goals today and I'm completely unimpressed or convinced. McNeill didn't really deserve to be dropped.
Back three should have been changed pronto after the first.
We rallied somewhat second half but left a mountain to climb.
Pressures on Murray to arrest this death spiral. |

Let’s bin this formation of having Brown in as a CB, which he definitely isn’t. Watson has to come back in alongside Murray for Friday. McGill in for Millen too, with Jack up top and LV, Rudden and Smith in behind.
Our lightweight midfield today offered absolutely no protection for our defence. Brown back to CMF, alongside Byrne or Matthews and let’s see some ball winning tackles going in.
Teams know running through our CMF at our defence will likely produce a goal.
Easton has gone off the boil since the hype he received after the Tannadice game. Rumours going around the SS today, that he’s signed a PC agreement with Dundee, but I’ll take that with a pinch of salt. |

Doesn't take much of a reverse for Fantalk to revert to type. Heard you lot booing at HT and more at FT.
Must look up the definition of " supporter " . Difficult to call to mind, sometimes. |

I applauded the team off at HT and FT.

Truth to (and results show) tell Rovers have been only slightly better than bang average all season, scraping wins as we go, no surprise we have come unstuck eventually.
The most amazing thing being the club are unwilling to pay for a defender when every single supporter in the stadium can see it's a priority.
The Murray's were to blame for today's loss, Ian for another shocking team selection and Ewen for being what he is...useless.
Sign some defenders or we may even miss out on 4th. _________________ Competitive goals: Vaughan 19, Easton 11, Hamilton 10, Smith 9, Stanton 7, Mullin 4, Connolly 3, O'Reilly 3, Rudden 3, S Brown 2, Dick 1, Gullan 1, Masson 1, Matthews 1, Millen 1, Mitchell 1, Murray, Watson 1, OG's 1, |

Three straight league defeats, four defeats on the trot warrants applause? Be fair. The supporters have been great all season but resorting to happy clapping in the face of a horrible run of results doesnt make you a "supporter". |

IM just responded to that question in the post-match by saying that we already have some great players. Unless he is playing his cards close to his chest, the slump is likely to continue.
The questions in the interview were really good btw. Not so sure about the answers. |

I find it incredible that Potter, Barrowman and Murray appear to have completely missed ... or ignored .... what we really need. |

Another shambles of a performance after losing from a winning position. Thankfully, due to our first half of the season's points tally, we won't be in a relegation battle, but we are playing like a team that is.
We have defended poorly as a team the entire season, but it's been covered up by our goal scoring exploits. I would like to see Ross Matthews given game time as i think we miss the "dig" and aggression that he brings, the midfield currently are giving the defence no protection as it's mainly players that want to attack.
It will be simply unbelievable if we don't sign a central defender before the window shuts. |

Not going to improve morale by saying that the existing players are not good enough
On top of that we may have tried and failed to get defenders in e.g. Ashcroft who may no longer be available. We did try to sign Dan O' Reilly but we were outbid. There wil! be continuing movement behind the scenes but competition is fierce.
IM has said in the Courier that we may sign a CB or a FB but not both.
I am surprised that we dropped Corr but that does not make me lose faith in IM.
We have time to come up with a better mix of formation and personnel before the United match. |

Highlights up.
First goal we give the ball away from a throw in….again
Second goal is a good finish and a bit harsh on big Kev to be blamed as it is right in the corner
Third goal is poor marking and defending from Byrne
Credit to the ICT attacker for his hat trick but we contributed heavily to our own downfall
One centre half on the park and three wingers (Mullen, Smith, Connolly). _________________ Two pints prick |
